Holy cow, if this is right it is a huge eye opener.
According to the comabt simulator, if I sent 8 paladins against 80 clubswingers, all 80 would die, and 7 of the paladins would. However, if I would ADD 3 axemen to go with the 8 paladins, I would be wiped out and kill only 69 of the clubswingers. Is that right? Adding offensive infantry to go along with cavalry would make the cavalry weaker?
The guy I scouted has 80 clubbies at least, but the place was empty at the time I scouted him. I was going to try to attack with everything I have, but it looks like I would be far far beter to send the paladins ahead first, and then have a second wave of all my clubbies to pack away the rest of his pies. I would lose 7 paladins, but if I used the clubbies first I would lose 38 of them. I think that is about even in losses for me comparatively, but if I can catch them at home the loss of 80 for him would be huge...plus any resources I get. But if I miss them, his 80 clubbies could destroy me if he caught me at home.
