"One group is actively TRYING to win. They're learning as much as they can. They're putting extensive time into the game. They're doing everything they can to be a force throughout the game, including end-game.
The other group is playing just to kill time. They don't care about endgame. They don't care about "winning", all they care about is logging in every day or so, messing around for a few minutes, and leaving it."
I am not sure how this point is made on who is learning, trying, putting in the time and so on. It feels like you are defending something that requires a different explanation. I am guessing my monitoring my village 14 +/- hours a day is not active or trying. I cannot say for sure.
I don't take offense, my feelings are only that is sucks to have someone(s) decide what is best for me/us without consulting me/us. We did enter this as a group, some later than others, which leads to [failed] expectations that we were a bunch of folks who were going to give it our best shot to win. Some folks fell by the wayside, others of us did our best.
The point here is it is like the government, your company, your city, your whatever deciding what is best me/others without being represented in the decision-making process.
