No one is arguing that there is a specific objective to "win" travian.

But repeating that objective over and over is not clarifying what it means to you, Java, to "want to win."

If you'd just come out and said, "we want an alliance that is only composed of people who are willing to log in at least once every 24 hours and take basic steps to prevent easy farming, such as building a badass cranny," then there would be no hurt feelings. People who didn't want to play that game THAT way would happily sign up with a CF wing that has different standards. But by framing your standards as "wanting to win," not only are you being vague, you are effectively calling people that don't meet your standards "losers."

Anyway, it's all moot now, but there it is.
