I like svirf warrior

A few good points below to echo. If you are not new to mudding, just CF, assassins and rangers are fine and all but are really great solo classes. I'd echo TheJoker (Batman?) and go for a build that will have you in the mix with other characters to get the most fun from CF. I like svirf warriors because you can:

1. See invis inherently
2. Get 100% lore and go to town ID'ing stuff
3. Still be a desired groupmate
4. Actually solo mobs
5. Have few enemies (or as many as you want)
5. Still be 'out there' enough that you can't hide from the world and will be forced to learn how to survive in CF without the stealth-class crutch.

I'd suggest go orderly ethos, too, so if you get curious about cabals you can try Tribunal (very newbie friendly) or Nexus.

You'll also just have to make sure people don't just assume you are in Battle. :)

For a first character it is more important to learn the cities and lowbie areas than getting dragged around some area explore (n/t)

cenatar January 04, 2014 08:47AM

what stops you from exploring the cities and lowbie areas as a healer? txt

You're always going to have *some* enemies.

Somewhat accurate, and a good guide for playing well

Wow. This is a great post. This should be newbie sticky material. n/t (n/t)

I actually don't recommend you hero your first char.

Death_Claw January 02, 2014 04:35AM

Better advice?

The_Joker January 02, 2014 03:50AM

Great advice, especially as you have been mudding before (n/T)

To echo those others 'Human Assassin' neutral neutral - everyones companion and can do most everything well.

Human assassin

Tadam January 02, 2014 12:14AM

Healer is your best option. Empowerment isn't hard.

BattleCharmed January 01, 2014 10:50PM

It's not what I would recommend for a first character.

Splntrd January 02, 2014 04:19AM

Assassin or ranger, human to start with. n/t

Death_Claw January 01, 2014 06:36PM

Assassin is ideal, in my opinion.

wrathpuppet January 01, 2014 03:57PM

shaman and paladin are two fairly easy new player classes. Sadly, they're both really dependent on empowerment, so you gotta be willing to RP a lot for it to work out. (n/t)

vortexmagus January 01, 2014 03:28PM

If you can RP, shaman is awesome, otherwise assassin. (n/t)

Artificial January 01, 2014 03:24PM

human assassin is pretty nice
