While I haven't been back playing long, from what I've seen the past few weeks there's an overall lack of non-imperials at hero range right now, so you'd be improving the game playing anything but that. Battle/Nexus/Trib in particular seem really sparce. Battle has a lot at mid-range but few seem to be able to make it to hero. To be honest, playing any hero that mixes it up and roleplays (even if it is of the non-elite style which I am cut from) would be a big boon to the game.

I'm still adjusting to the smaller playerbase, it's had an interesting impact on how hero range plays out. Will comment on it more when my current is dead.
