And for the time I tracked my current, I was 17 of 36 lvls, and 2 of 12 from Maus. No Apt Learner and some thoughts.

I think it is worth it. One thing I will say, is that the fewer skills you have learned, the more likely this is to hit your skill focus as long as you still trigger it. To trigger the bonus on the level it goes off of a ratio of skills known at the 60% to 65% range (from my observation) or higher to Total skills you can practice. This includes skills at 100%. So for easy things to spam up in a level or two (defenses, kick, pugil, serp strike) I will practice those and get them up to buffer my skills known but cannot have my skills learn %s drop into that skill. Otherwise I only will practice what is essential until later on when I am done trying to use this as a mechanic to up skill levels (like I will buy bread on a paladin until 30+ cause I dont want to waste the potential for a skill learn from leveling to go here and hell if I am going to spam that shit.)

Just some parsing, here is an old dwarven healer that got my focus 6 of 15 levels.

Maybe I'm just super lucky, but with the apt learner edge - every level divisible by 5 gave me the gains I wanted (n/t)

It goes where you focus 25% of the time. That's all there is to it. Apt learner gives +1% to wherever it ends up.~

Apt learner must be more than 1% unless it got changed. Could hit +4% on a fire gaint (n/t)

Apt Learner

With Dark Elf it felt like I got it like 1/3-1/2 of the time. Just my "feeling"

Wisdom seems to play a part based on my own non-scientific observations. (n/t)

This is my experience as well. Higher wisdom means your skill learn will hit more often.

I believe Apt Learner edge may help. I noticed it work more frequently on my fire giant with it. (n/t)
