Much worse.
The only comparative classes I can remember offhand are invokers and assassins.
Once you are in the high 40s, it is easy to walk around "fully" prepped as an invoker (ABS/protection/stoneskin), even if you know absolutely nothing about exploration. Each wand has 3+ charges and most are not difficult or dangerous to gather on your own, with the exception of a barrier wand in the whitecloak ruins.
Assassins have trance.
Compared to that, fighting the entire mud for limited one-shot aura/shield and easily-dispellable stoneksin/protection is tedious. And I think it's necessary for a non-rager warrior. Fort warrior is probably the worst IMO, too, because you won't be hunting ragers very much, and ragers are the only targets that won't just transport away from you when you used your one-shot preps.
