at least for your first few chars. Sure, others will show you stuff
but it's knowledge that won't stick, knowledge you won't be
immediately taking advantage of and knowledge that will overwhelm you..
If you want to focus "heavily" on PK, forget cabals for now.
Play an uncaballed hiding class, human, ideally assassin
(better for pk) but you can also try thief (better for exploration and gear).
Go evil so that you can attack anyone. You won't have any allies
but you won't need any. Your objectives are:
+ Figure out major cities and major roads (maps at the wiki here)
+ Figure out how to stay alive and run away from fights (that should be all fights you didn't start yourself)
+ Figure out more areas and how to rank with quests, solo or with others (don't trust anyone)
+ Figure out average-to-good *non limited* gear you can grab quickly.
+ If you play an assassin you should level-sit for some time at 25, 28, 35 and 41.
If you want to rank higher, stop at 44 when you get martial trance. Don't go above that
for the first few chars. It's also fine to not level above 35 until you've got a couple hundred
hours under your belt.
Once you have the above figured out, you can start engaging in PK, by initiating fights.
Read a lot of logs @ qhcf (and the old archived boards). You can figure out pretty much everything
re: PK and tactics by reading logs and being smart about it. Very few know how to do this well.
After you play 2-3 chars doing the above, you can try joining a cabal without it being a waste of time.
