Listen to Kstatida, don't listen to Murphy

Kstatida is a semi-new player, def not a vet.

He's progressed enormously in a short period of time, and I'd like to take some credit
since I've given him plenty of advice. I also think that the way he chose to
"learn CF" has a lot in common with what my "method" is.

Murphy on the other hand has been playing for many years, he's a veteran of the game
in that sense. Yet, PK-wise, he's clueless. Pretty much no progression beyond the
first "local maxima" one hits. And I dare guess that a big reason for that is his playing
style and the methods he used/is using to learn the game.

Don't be like him.

Cabal for CF newb?

patrisaurus January 02, 2017 07:52PM

Here comes a new challenger!

MiyagiYojimbo January 03, 2017 06:03PM

Contender.

Murphy January 03, 2017 06:06PM

Fort if you really have to (you don't and you shouldn't)

zoskia January 03, 2017 05:30PM

This seems like a good idea for a second or third char.

Java January 04, 2017 09:53AM

Nonsense, a cabal, even Fort, helps learn immensely.

Murphy January 03, 2017 05:59PM

A cabal is a total waste of time for his situation

zoskia January 05, 2017 03:50PM

No. Being in a cabal is fun and that contributes to learning potential.

Murphy January 05, 2017 04:54PM

I agree with this. Being in a cabal is a better way to be a part of the game and it's direction.

the keys to CF

jhyrbian January 03, 2017 10:52AM

Sometimes yes, but not always. How many recent deleted assassins have there been? How many of them were OP? Exactly. (n/t)

Judges? *looks to the judges* Sorry but that's incorrect. (n/t)

Frosty January 03, 2017 12:57PM

Fort but it's usually full of idiots. Empire is great but you have to be really learn the dogma or you risk demotion which sucks.

Listen to Kstatida, don't listen to Murphy

zoskia January 05, 2017 03:40PM

"Clueless" isn't the right word.

Murphy January 05, 2017 04:50PM

But they're both fun to play the game with. Be like both of them. :) (n/t)

Yep.

Rhyaldrin January 05, 2017 05:29PM

Very true. (n/t)

Frosty January 05, 2017 06:37PM

Yep.

Rhyaldrin January 05, 2017 05:29PM

The combat engines really only resemble each other in that they're both text though.

Kstatida January 04, 2017 11:56AM

zoskia January 05, 2017 03:38PM

Very much this. Fort yes, but don't be surprised if there's some dim-wits. Empire yes, but learn the dos and don'ts or you will be demoted or even anathema, remember it's an evil cabal.. (n/t)

Frosty January 02, 2017 08:36PM

Empire and Fortress are two cabals that encourage working as a team, both in PvE and PvP. (n/t)
