Ok, so I'm a returning player and I've been pretty active for the last 2.5 years. I'm not a total newbie, but I can hardly call myself a vet either. I've had several heroes and even though the game doesn't start at hero, fights are definately more interesting from game mechanical aspect. But it really bugs me that most people at hero range seem to be playing really conservatively, fighting only when they think they have good chances to win, because they fear for loosing their set, preps etc. And I make no exception here, I try to prep to teeth just to survive against all of you beasts. And I try really hard not to die (and take less risks) if I have a sweet set. I'm thinking, is this kind of playing really the most fun I can have? From my point of view the problem is basically this : the gap between high end gear and regear is too big. What if the gear from the shops was 90% as good as the really high-end gear? I mean wouldn't it be sweet if you could just buy all the stuff you need from shops and be back on rampage again? You vets would still have the advantage, because you know the game mechanics better and know better how to respond in any given situation than me. You would still beat me, but not like 90% of time, maybe like 60-70% of time. And for a total newbie, it's just totally impossible to kill anyone at hero in 1 vs 1 if the other one was not a total newbie aswell.
Don't take me wrong, I do enjoy CF the way it is, but somehow I feel like I'd love to see more action, more corpses, MOOOOREEEEE BLOOOOOODDDD!!!!
