I was usually to concerned with others doing dumb shit and getting themselves killed to bring them there, and you don't have much of a chance to heal/rescue if you are depending on intensify to survive.

I also had a pretty broken virtue combo though too. Temperance/Charity + lifesurge tattoo, and Acolyte healing drinks/spiritual link made me pretty damn hard to die in PVE. So take that for what it's worth.
