Giants just want to kill, or get out. Fights should either be very short with huge burst, or a perma-lag bashdown.
If you're getting maledicted a couple of times, just flee and quaff and come back 8 ticks later.
I took Riddle/Space on a wood-elf Outlander warrior and even then I was disappointed with Riddle (but Space is fucking awesome). I think it helped me stick around a few more rounds against Annkhu and therefore kill him once, and helped me survive bleeding once (more useful to Outlanders than to people who can heal heal). Cry or Striking would have got me more kills.
If I didn't like it as a wood-elf sword spec I think I'd like it even less as a giant burst/basher.
