The whole purpose of the complaining is that this particular instance makes people not play this game at all. I understand the concept of the anti-hero very well, and it can be fun playing that role and creating a real purpose and challenge for players in the form of having a common goal.

What you are promoting and he is doing is not that. There is a huge difference in inspiring common hatred to vets who will rally and try harder to kill you and griefing newbies who will simply go play another game. It sounds like your anticipated reaction to full sacs is 'Oh gee golly they got me good I'm going to try harder to learn this mud now!' but in reality its 'Wow this mud is full of shitbags and there are a ton of different ones with more/better players.' Pretty sure that's the disconnect here and I'm pretty sure you know that and are just super bitter and jaded in general towards this this part of your world.
