Suppose you're one of the imms you believe cheated.
Here's what you know:
1. wishore is going to send a log of "something" to Scar on 7/15 that he claims implicates you as a cheater.
2. If you don't delete, wishore is going to post some stuff about explore areas on 7/14.
Remember, you're someone who is willing to cheat. So, based on that, do you really care about explore area stuff being published? That's a problem for the area authors.
What you care about is your own hide. What you don't know is 1. what "evidence" of cheating wishore has and 2. whether Scarabaeus is going to agree that it's "cheating".
Let's say you think the answer to #2 is "yes". In that case, your tenure on staff is done regardless of what you do. Given that, do you really care if a bunch of area explore crap gets published?
But let's say you're not sure that the answer to #2 is yes. You think either wishore is bluffing, or that the log he has won't actually be seen by Scarabaeus to contain evidence of "cheating". In that case, your best move is to do nothing at all. You hope that either wishore is bluffing or that his evidence isn't damning after all.
If that turns out to be the case, then, because you didn't delete, the area explore stuff gets published, but at that point you look like the good guy who was falsely accused of cheating by the guy who subsequently gave the entire staff the bird by publishing a bunch of "secret" stuff.
So, again, if I'm one of the staff members you think cheated, why in the world am I going to delete on my own? I'd much rather take my chances w/ your "evidence" being a big nothingburger.
