Hi all,

I'm planning to roll a Shifter to explore in the quieter times and was looking for some advice. I know there arw better race/class combos but i love the thrill of seeing what forms I'll get.

My question is which focus should i go for and in which order? I plan on grouping whenever possible but may also need to solo at times, this is for both ranking and exploring.

I'm leaning towards Off/Def only because in the past most of my shifters have been utility and I've experienced most of those forms. However if this is a terrible idea I'll consider utility or even water.

For 1st to 3rd tier forms, is it better to get an offensive or defensive form asap?

Which will be more appealing to groups (generally) and which will be better for soloing? I feel like defense is better for groups but may make for very slow solo ranking.

Do enlivens make a significant difference?

Should i consider water? I've heard you can solo very easily IF you know the right places but i am not the most experienced player.

Appreciate any advice.
