And even then, they're pretty marginal. You're chasing the chain cast affect, which is rare even when you get the veil as thin as possible and have everything lined up. It is pretty flashy when it happens though. Like, you chain cast your nova on the Council, with one defender, for 5 total novas hitting everything at once. You might see this kind of thing a handful of times across an entire character's life, and that's only if you take care to thin the veil as much as you can manage. It feels like a small bonus if you're tending the veil and killing villagers anyway, basically, but not something to try to build around.
