I scavenge equipment to sell from level 1. It does not take much time because stuff is left on the ground in a great deal of the game. You can sell Trash, Misc, Furniture, Booze, bags, drink containers, food meaning anything at all. Places like Azuremain are always a VERY nice haul and if you don't actually need the coin it would feel like a waste. Observation and Explore are more worth your time and you are likely limited as a villager. I don't remember playing a villager in a real long time but I hardly had need for coin. If I had to heal at the Destructor I shouldn't be there.
