True but even the weakest archon deals great damage. A strong archon is a nuclear bomb. The only stress I have in that situation is that I have to adjust my mindset. I have to pay very close attention to my health. If it turns out I need to flee then the archon follows to heal me. Then the NPC comes in to hit me - putting the archon back in his ‘protect the conjurerer’ state.
Oh, and I forgot to mention warp dimension (like a warrior’s feint). With an aura (half damage) and warp dimension, you might avoid dying in three rounds.
Now that I am thinking all this through it is a lot of juggling (hence the class complexity comment). Not at all like the simplicity of a shapeshifter, so some might not take to the conjurer class style of play. For instance, keeping track of things like - are there other NPCs in the room that the ‘warp dimension’ spell will hit. There are a lot of spells/abilities of a conjurer that hit the area.
