Those exotic skills. How they work?

You get "Mega Exotic Weapon" that gives you skill.... let's say 'acid spray'

You use 'acid spray' during fights and it grows into some enhanced secondary..

What happens when you remove this weapon? You have to work on 'acid spray' again? Or it's stay in your skill list forever but you can use it only with this exotic?

If there are few exotics with acid spray - it will be the one skill or 'acid spray; from weapon1 and 'acid spray' from weapon2 are different?
