Before Discord there was email. Here's how the elites played. (TWIST)
Hi,
You don't know me (hopefully). I was a mediocre player with a few friends that played in college.
I had a heroimm many years ago and I never made any traction on my area so I left. When I immed, I
remember Daevryn warning me that sometimes you don't want to see what goes on behind the curtains -
that it could ruin the game for you. At the time I didn't think that was true. I loved being a heroimm.
It's like finally getting to sit at the cool kids table. If you like sexual innuendo, even hanging out
with Baernika is fun.
Anyway, I was playing a mortal (probably why I never wrote my area, hah!) and Twist and I ended up in the
same cabal. I was chatting with him in imm-land and explained I really needed some more edge points. He
sent me a plain text file with all of the observation and exploration points in the game!
I quit playing CF pretty soon after I deleted my heroim. I think maybe Daevryn was right. It did ruin the
thrill of the game. Mostly, I just realized how small the game is and how it is being manipulated by a
small group. Anyway, one of my college friends sent me the link to this forum and asked me to share this
story. So, there you go!
Here's the text file:
