It's been done in Battle and Nexus most successfully, but can be done elsewhere. With edges and the right legacies can stand up to most and even beat others fairly well (mostly with deathblow). That said, the skill drum along with the skill throw (alleviated by being handspec) are just the doom of a poor gnome. It's also a purely hero build, not viable until it gets all the _required_ edges and legacies to compete. Shaapa has gone probably for the most powergamey variation of the build possible, but there are other specs/legacies/cabals where gnome warrior can be viable, albeit fairly limited. And never forget throw.
