Thinking about new char.
I will never join empire because of Kadavarn's logs.
Fortress is a visited place.
Outlanders stuck to wilderness.
Don't like Entropy idea. Don't wish to sit in cities just to prove something as Tribie.
And I never was a battle.
So I know that.
1. You can not use magic items and healing of a healer. You should run to certain mob everytime you not sure and give him an item to check if it is magical. AFAIK charred bracers are.
2. If you stuck in noexit room you dead. And suicide cost experience.
3. You can not fly if you not an arial or cloud. You can not dive if you not a marine/marsh or storm. You can fly with some special not magic items as I heard. But they are limited.
And with all that you have to kill mages. When you kill first - you go to special mob and he grants you a pledge. With a title.
The title tells everyone that you a village candidate.So every normal mage will just quaf or teleport when he see on where. And he will use where every 5 seconds if he see you on who.
Though. Pledge gives you only free detect invis on 25 level. To go further - you must kill more and more mages. To prove to the commanders that you worth promotion.
That is what I know. I wrote this because I maybe mistaken.
Now the questions.
1. Grouping with empowered classes that use suplications and with bards. What is ok and what is not? I know you can. As candidate, as pledge etc. But any limitations? No sanc from healer etc?
2. Word of recall supplication - acceptable? Can you ask a paladin to summon you from noexit?
3. There is a big luck if you have 1 mage in PK nowdays.Untill you hit semi-hero ranks. So how the people who play in low-time gor pledged and promoted? How do they gather all that mage-slay kills?
4. Pills/roots/inherents/seaweeds - things that I eat. not quaf and inherent say... fly and stoneskin - forbidden?
What other hidden traps? What advices?
I look forward for assassin or maybe svirf.
Assassin pros: he can see you, mage. You can not see me. Can fly if arial.
Cons: Can not pincer mage to death with one strike!!!
Svirf pros: can see mages, can deal high damage to finish them before they flee
cons: can not fly, mages see him
If you will be so kind to write detailed advice/faq please consider that I have no experience in beeing battle, I have low experience in playing chars who not use magic/supplication and I never succeed as warrior
