Duergar and ??? cloak

How do you guys pronounce "duergar?" I've always pronounced it "dwergar" like the "dw" in dwarf, the "er" in learn, and the "gar" in cigar. But I've been listening to the Drizzt series audiobooks and the narrator pronounces it "do-er-gar." Just wondering if you had a different variation on the word.

Also, what were the cloaks way, way back in the early days on the docks of Arkham(?) or Gehenna(?) that were +2 dam?
