One really boring but effective choice: Soul on mage classes

January 11, 2019 09:10PM
Mage classes like transmuter, conjurer, invoker are already very powerful as-is. The downside tends to be 500 base hp at hero, so you're always counting on having top-tier gear to take you to a more-bearable 1000 hp at hero. So you'd have 700 hp regear, 1000 hp top gear. With Soul, it becomes 900 hp regear (!!), 1200 hp top gear.

Since hp is amplified by damage reduction, it works on mages even better than it does on low hp warriors!

I've never played a necromancer but I hear that they're very powerful too, so they probably benefit lots from +200 hp.

Sam January 09, 2019 05:05AM

Would be most useful for a gnome

Re: Would be most useful for a gnome

Mrsnuggles January 14, 2019 11:53AM

Let's be real

Kstatida January 09, 2019 04:09AM

Yeah what is with this gnome loving

mcbeth January 09, 2019 07:45AM

Proper build: elf/delf dagger/axe striking and two of soul/cry/enigma/space

starbright January 09, 2019 10:27AM

Enigma would be cool on a 25 int warrior

mcbeth January 09, 2019 10:51AM

I was actually just thinking about trying something similar to this not long ago (n/t)

TJHuron January 09, 2019 01:46PM

Iirc you can't zap stunned without them entering combat

daurwyn January 09, 2019 11:14AM

2. If you could pick a legacy on any non-warrior combo, what would the legacy and combo be? (n/t)

Kez January 08, 2019 11:03PM

STSF droW Shaman. nt

Flipside Oreo January 16, 2019 02:41AM

Autumn harvest on a goblin.

MiyagiYojimbo January 14, 2019 12:12AM

Harmonious on Lich?

starbright January 12, 2019 10:28PM

Sam January 12, 2019 09:17PM

Halfie shaman with Space would be great

starbright January 12, 2019 10:25PM

greeting on an orc or fire anti-paladin? (n/t)

asker January 12, 2019 09:36AM

asker January 13, 2019 12:01PM

Re: Also "Cry" on an Orc. Warcy now hastes you in addition to all the other goodies

Kstatida January 13, 2019 10:19PM

wonder if "Cry" haste would stack with the "normal" orc haste, then? probably not, but maybe (n/t)

starbright January 11, 2019 09:10PM

Maybe outcry on an assassin

daurwyn January 09, 2019 11:32AM

Landslide on a conjurer? :P (n/t)

mcbeth January 09, 2019 07:42AM

Seems counterproductive.

Spronti January 11, 2019 07:28PM

Also technically conjurers don't learn drive... (n/t)

starbright January 11, 2019 09:07PM

Good point. Hour past midnight? :P (n/t)

mcbeth January 11, 2019 07:29PM

Re: Landslide on a conjurer? :P

mcbeth January 09, 2019 07:42AM

I would put Hours Past Midnight on a lot of different melee classes

Quas January 09, 2019 05:26AM

Fist for any AP. Surrounding for any undead (as gangs are really your only worry). Maelstrom on a drow AP would be nice. Whispers on an elf trannies in Outlander would be gross.

Sam January 09, 2019 05:04AM

Calming on an imperial fire ap, or greeting on a scarab drow ap nt

daurwyn January 09, 2019 11:13AM

STSF with an Elf Paladin Champion would be mean. nt

Java January 09, 2019 01:19AM

Second this, I can't think of anything more brutal (n/t)

starbright January 09, 2019 02:49AM

STSF delf transmuter (n/t)

Kstatida January 09, 2019 04:07AM

Basically STSF on anyone, invoker, conjurer, druid, hell even bard would be insane with it (n/t)

mcbeth January 09, 2019 07:46AM

Not convinced

daurwyn January 11, 2019 06:24AM

STSF is disproportionately good on melee-heavy characters

starbright January 09, 2019 10:22AM

Sure, but it's also really good on someone with dispel who can throw out unparryable UNSPEAKS (n/t)

mcbeth January 09, 2019 10:49AM

1. What unknown build do you suspect has great potential but you haven't had the time/effort to try. (n/t)

Kez January 08, 2019 11:03PM

Outlander fire warrior whip/pole trapping/HPM. nt

Flipside Oreo January 16, 2019 02:39AM

The Tontik build but on a prep-happy dwarf

starbright January 12, 2019 10:35PM

Lol, I'm in (n/t)

Gnome Plainsrunner Explorer Battle Defender. Nt

Sam January 09, 2019 05:02AM

Dwarf whip dagger incarnadine enigma battle scout

daurwyn January 09, 2019 02:37AM

Kstatida January 09, 2019 04:06AM

Did you mean something else besides Enigma? (n/t)

TJHuron January 09, 2019 03:43AM

Maelstrom
