I rarely say anything is OP or broken or whatever. I like to believe that CF has enough possibilities that you can figure out a way to take it down.
But as far as input vs output, I have no idea how anyone thinks champion paladins are balanced. The are only two things I think a champion paladin needs to be mildly concerned about: A gank with competent people staggering lag, mitigating his bats/fends. Or an assassin who lands a wrist-crunch kotegaeshi after the champion has lagged himself. And honestly both of those things are pretty much death sentences to the average lone person, but wheras thats a death sentence for some, thats just what a champion paladin has to be mildly concerned about.
I think one big thing that's overlooked is that champions almost never lag themselves, by very nature of their skills. Their combat skills are half a round or a round of lag, so even if you land a crucial skill to make them drop their weapon or whatever, it's pretty damn hard to capitalize on it because it's almost impossible for a champion to lag themselves out. Also the passive tanking is obscene. I've seen them out tank dexy sword specs, rangers in the wilds, maledicting warriors even after the maledicting warrior has layered them up with low stats.
So my statement is: Champions are more broken than not and definitely need to be toned down somewhat.
My question is: If you were gunning after and trying to kill a well geared (as in has his stats covered and shit.) decent champion paladin. What would you play?
Personally I think a fire giant greeting spec would be best. Maybe hpm or axe to make it harder to tank you. Or sword and hope for flurry. And I still think you might get your shit pushed in against an enlarged storm champ. But you might be able to bash down elf champions.
