And I never had a problem with it as my Mummy. As long as I could wield my weapon, chill touch or damage spell seemed sufficient to deal with it. Also you could just flee and vampiric touch something else and be okay while meleeing the thing.

Not sure about Wight though, they might have problems with it since they are the most "savage" of the undeads.
