An enlarged giant with pike mans valor should be ultra defensive. One of the deadliest ones I remember was a storm giant with thunderlance. The prog gear, plus bashing alongside with charging being able to stun, chip doing big damage, slice for bleed, cut off for stopping them from fleeing was very deadly. Of course you get your str dropped then you've nothing to fall back on so much but when you needed damage, h2h was a great tool to use for good damage and defense without a weapon, plus it's versatile.
