The problem here is that Yhorian here assumes everyone to take the posts as he means them, even when they are often unclear with the meaning. Granted, his statement was very likely a joke, but they don't open up to everyone easily and require assuming a certain kind of personality with the poster not. And then he gets upset for others bashing him for them and claiming that he didn't say that, even when the posts often are outright insulting but apparently not meant as insult? The pattern here is all too familiar and happened too often.
My advice to Yhorian in this case would be that people simply can't tell when too much information needs to be assumed. It is much easier to offend people than you seem to think. Assuming the "we're all among friends here" context to be understood and accepted is a risky business here and it doesn't often work that way.
