The flip side of this coin is that since there is a limited amount of Imm attention available, if more players that felt they deserved recognition "whored themselves out" then the Imms would be even more pressed to investigate.
I generally tend not to go for any sort of immteraction out of respect for the limited amount of time the imms have available. What can be very frustrating about this route, however, is that some of the characters I feel I have rp'd the best receive little imm attention and what attention they do received is (I feel) based on an incomplete or ignorant understanding of the character. There is an implicit contract (in my mind, at least) between the players and imms in that those characters that are well-rp'd but for whatever reason (role, personal style) don't seek out imm attention should still be recognized more than those that are mediocre characters that harass the imms or for tangential reason catch their fancy.
