which I took to mean, "Pounce is Ravon's bane" and I can tell you from firsthand experience it isn't as good as you imply.
To reiterate my point, a paladin can not going to stand toe to toe with a critical-mass ap. Class design and the deadliness of evil gear precludes that possibility regardless of whether said paladin had Pounce, 4 virtues, and the most covetted of paladin swords. A shaman might stand a good chance of surviving an encounter against a critical-mass ap, but I am not inclined to believe they would slay the AP in question. This of course assumes that the communer-slaying item from hell has since been nerfed, otherwise kiss your Waserax goodbye.
What I dislike is that there is no good counterpart to a critical mass ap, and I think there should be.
