Thats kind of what I was thinking I'll do...use my trapper theif to scout out an area...learn the lay of the land, see who has keys, etc. and then if there is a container of some kind come back and re-explore it later with a wand user to see if there are any goodies.

One thing I need to get better at is keeping some notes or saving snippets to a file with some comments to remember where I saw stuff that needs looked at again later.
