...you should definitely roll something that you plan to hero. Assassin/Bard/Shapeshifter are my personal favs (oh wait, I've only played two of those, no assassins past 7 for me, but they rule).

Oh, and ganking happens. It's not like those other games where you are treated with kid gloves. The good players kill with ganks, kill ganks trying to kill them, kill without ganks, they just kill. Anyone can become that type of character if you just keep your eyes open and LEARN from everything you see. Try not to get discouraged by some of the players who will seek to crush your RL morale by doing shitty things. It happens. My suggestion is to logoff, log back on in about a day and regear and get back on that horse. Be courteous to the IMMs, even if you are cursing at their failure to appreciate how much of a pain in the ass it is to die to buggy code that is 'By design' because to change the code would take months (i feel for you Big Z, it just sucks).

Suck it up if you don't go 50-5 with a char, not all the best times are had by being the best. Just have fun.
