The same classes that "benefit most from faerie fire" as you put it, also benefit most from swiftstrike. Kind of interesting.

Anyway, I think where fighting classes are concerned I'd rather have faerie fire and 24 dex than swiftstrike and 23 dex. But I haven't experienced swiftstrike first hand (i.e., I haven't played an elf since it went in). It might look insane from that POV. I'm assuming it does because otherwise I think the utility of ffire is a nobrainer positive over random swiftstrikes.
