Other than that, I read your post twice now and although it's interesting, I still don't understand how you disagree with me. Here's what I'm getting:
Me: Anathema for breaking imperial law. Demote for stupid stuff. Demotion is not an effective deterrant to breaking imperial law, especially in a cabal known for its OOC cliques.
You: I demoted Jalim for stupid stuff.
I guess I agree with you that not being able to use your Imperial as a storage character is a "drawback." I don't see how that is on the same level as "Don't attack Goods and Neutrals" and "Don't use magic or communes" and "Don't attack in cities" but you're right, it is a drawback.
But you're wrong, anathema does not give you a betrayer vuln. Imperial vengeance is obviously a special case.
