You more or less never need to put in extra mana into the binding as a goodie conjie. Only exception is when you get a really strong angel or very high level archon, then you can put in 100 or so to to reduce the chance to fail. Even if you fail then you are still in no trouble if you have a circle (no need to put extra mana into the circle in 99% of the cases).
