I was confused with one of my first barrier locations for the longest time and didn't gather it. Turned out being a fairly simple one but I didn't know that till much later. I always used an escalation type play. See how far I needed to prep and if I needed to go all the way, usually people would stick it out more thinking they had an advantage but my spectre days were rough.
