You're a marine in Afghanistan and a nasty terrorist with a bomb starts walking towards you, holding a civilian as a human shield. You're not supposed to shoot the civilian. But you have to stop nasty terrorist.
(1) If you're super skilled you can snipe the terrorist without hitting the innocent.
(2) (More likely) you have to accept a significant chance of killing the innocent.
If you do (2), does that mean you're a bad US marine and should be removed from the marine corps? Surely not.
There's a big difference between goodie walking into Arendyl and casting area spells everywhere, or goodie walking into the Imperial Palace, a war zone, and hitting some randomly summoned elf. I'm almost certain Fort imms will forgive him.
But he will have to RP contrition, because that's how a Fort goodie will behave / feel after killing an innocent.
