Also, the US Marine isn't using an AT4 if he decides to take that shot.
That's not even getting into the fact that I think it's laughable to say US Marines are expected to be "good guys." EDIT: Or any other US Military personnel for that matter.
SECOND EDIT: Also, it's a brilliant tactic for that haji too. They do it all the time. I'm trying very hard not to rant on this subject. You know part of ROE for a greater part of the Iraq/Afghan conflict was that if an "enemy combatant" dropped their weapon, you were not to kill them. That means haji gets to dump a magazine of AK rounds at you, throw down his weapon before anyone reacts, and expect not to get killed for it. Luckily it wasn't this way while I was there, but the shit I hear from the 07-09 crowd is ludicrous. I'd be in prison for killing terrorists, for sure.
THIRD EDIT: Let's further your analogy. I've heard plenty of stories where Marines/Soldiers did indeed blow up a house that "terrorists" retreated to. Turns out there were women and children in there. This happens a lot. Do you think the person who did it walks away without some emotional/spiritual scars? That's a closer "real life" analogy to what happened here. Obviously the marine/soldier won't be getting booted, but they aren't a zealous religious group hell bent on being the best damn good guys they can be. They are a government military whose job it is to kill and survive. The conjurer here should feel and be roleplaying the moral dilemma every bit as much AND MORE than a soldier because he is MARAN. Not volunteer killer of national enemies.
Fourth edit: Some grammar/word changes.
