You don't parry staff.
He's decked and has random lag from staff and belt.
He has essence of faith and divine intervention. Faith is possibly my least-preferred virtue, but it is good against shamans. Since it means he probably doesn't have temperance, he'll have a tougher time against smart melee players.
Something like two high-dam warriors wielding weapons he can't parry well (Fortitude virtue's veteran's insight does not cover flails or whips), staggering lag skills, would easily down him.
I don't see how Erhiadkeb's combo is any worse than pre-wrath-nerf Dupmasione-quality shield ded pallies.
Last time I fought OP champion pallies was with a level 34 frost giant polearm (!) spec vs level 40 azure-touched champion pally. Neither of us died, but I didn't feel anywhere near as threatened as by the levelsitting transmuter of the time.
