Ricochet Skin is easily the best shifter edge there is. Everything else is pretty garbage TBH.

Muscle Memory was always my second favorite shifter edge since maintaining your minor final is pretty strenuous for drawn out fights especially with a shaman or a mage using dispel magic often.

If you get lucky, go for the throat could maybe net you a kill. But it’s so unpredictable and niche that it’s not worth the edge points.

I always consider Calmed Mind depending on if I’m playing something that has tons of enemies, anything to get you back fighting quickly for opportunity kills is great.

Strong mind and zombie fighter are amazing if there’s good necros about. Forget and dagger/mace dex ragers are pretty much always a shifters worst nightmare.

After that, I always prioritized Seasoned Traveller, the moves regen is insane. Then thick veined, saved my life quite a few times. Then dragonslayer because they’re usually my income source and I hate bite hemmorage.

After that I focus on edges to help with enemies that seems like they’re staying around awhile. Anti bard/striking edges, etc.

I’ve had a good 40+ hero shifters over the past decade with some quest forms, I feel like they’re pretty much my go to.
