1) Why on earth is your mainhand wield a spear? Spears are terrible on giants, because you very rarely see spin with your low dex.
A polearm would be a much better choice, because you will see 'distance' trigger a lot, given your giant size.
But really dude -- it's flail in mainhand, axe (for shield cleave) or mace (for crippling strike) in the off-hand.

2) Resist cold preps are numerous and easy to find at all levels, from newbie to hero.

3) Iceball. Especially when they have servitors, like Gillador does. It's hard to maladict Scarabs, due to 'tower of iron will'.
