  This road seems a bit more noisy than the others in the Imperial Lands.  Voices
ring from the surrounding buildings, building towards pleasure, then ending in
cries of pain.  Each building is marked with a sword and shield inlaid over the
symbol of the Imperial Codex.  The road itself is a perfect black stone, and
seems without blemish.  In fact, there are no ridges or imperfections, giving
the feeling that the entire road is a single piece of stone.  A carved black

  In place of columns in this hallway are massive, white marble statues of famed
Imperial artists, who hold up the elaborately painted ceiling both literally 
and figuratively. This room is darker and more subdued than the domed foyer to
the north, but impressively detailed nonetheless. The floor tiles are black-
and-white and almost unsettlingly clean. To the east, a space between the 
statues opens up into a large room full of paintings. To the west awaits a 
collection of glimmering treasures and imposing sculptures. And from the 
south, a bright room breathes the scents of old parchment and leather into 
this corridor.
