  There is a lot of foot traffic from the citizens of Galadon along this point
of the High Road with the hard-packed dirt of the Market Square opening to the
south.  At the east edge of the street the entrance of Wilhelm's Wondrous 
Where's can be seen, the heavy scent of aged parchment and ink rolling from 
within.  The entrance of the Garden Bounty sits to the west while the pristine
blocks of white stone lead further north toward the city park.  At the edge of
the street there are large brass posts with lanterns hung from them to keep 
Galadon lit at all hours.

Market Square 
  Stretching out in the cardinal directions from this large opening of trampled
dirt are the High and Trade Roads.  Laid out across the outer edge of the
square are booths with many cheap goods from the assorted races of Thera.  It
seems as if the lesser craftsmen of the hubs of a race come to Galadon in an
attempt to peddle their wares to less knowledgeable and wealthier folk.
Closer to the center of the square, you can see small huddles of beggars and
drunkards who attempt and leverage any piece of copper or charity they can
from the masses.

High Road 
  Slightly narrower than to the north of the Market Square, this section of the
High Road still has a lot of bodies coming and going.  Along either side of
the street there are large brass posts hung with lanterns used to keep the 
city lit at all hours.  To the east lies the entrance of Choppe's General
Supplies, the clutter within the store obvious even before you enter.  The
smooth white blocks end to the north where the road meets the Market Square
and they continue further south towards the Silverwood.  An assorted mix of
animal noises escape from the building to the west, a sign near its door
declaring it The Galadon Menagerie.

High Road 
  Tall brass posts line either edge of the street and lanterns hang from them to
keep the great city of Galadon lit at all hours.  A massive temple of dark 
stone rises to the east and even the light seems hesitant to draw too close.
Anguished cries and the muffled chants echo off the black walls and the sickly
sweet smell of fresh blood and carrion drifts from somewhere within.  The High
Road is made of perfectly smooth blocks of white stone and it runs north 
towards the Market Square and south to a large intersection with the River
Road.  Through the swinging doors of cherry wood in the west you could enter
Bargalha's Tavern, one of the most revered public bars of Thera.

Large Intersection 
  You are standing at the intersection between the High Road and the River Road.
A round plate of steel with a heavy ring set in it covers a hole in the center
of the intersection.  Faint wisps of steam escape around the edges.  The white
blocks of the High Road continue north towards the Market Square and further
south, across the bridge, leading to the Silverwood.  In both the east and 
west, the River Road runs along the banks of Voralia's Tears as it winds 
through Galadon.

On the Bridge 
  Here the High Road arches over Voralia's Tears on its way to the south gate of
Galadon.  The bridge is made of fine sturdy stone with a chest-high balustrade
protecting you from falling into the water.  It is possible to follow the 
white stone road further to the north where the High and River Roads intersect
or further to the south towards the Silverwood.  You can look over the edge of
the bridge to watch the currents carry small debris and waste from the city 
towards the Weald in the west.

High Road 
  Drastically different than the northern residential sections of Galadon, the
High Road this far south is much less traveled and narrower.  The buzzing of 
saws and angry shouts of the merchants from the lumberyard ring from the east,
the shoddy fence that barricades it serving little real purpose.  A bridge to
the north stretches across Voralia's Tears while the street continues south 
towards the Silverwood.  Along the western edge of the road is a strange
building that looks more like a savage hut than something found within Thera's
greatest city.

  Large brass supports line either edge of the High Road, lanterns hung from 
them to help keep Galadon illuminated at all hours.  The street is narrower
here than further north as it is less this close to goblin territory.  A
short building sits just below street level in the west, a sign marking it as 
the Shapeshifter guild.  Perfectly level white blocks continue south to the 
city gate and north toward the rest of Galadon.  A shimmer is present to the 
east near the angled tower that the Conjurers guild has taken residence in.  
Shapes and runes phase in and out of the air almost as if the tower is 
preventing the other planes from escaping into the rest of the city.

Inside the South Gate 
  You stand just inside the southern gate of Galadon.  The city walls arch
over the gate in their path around the city.  The battlements are particularly
well-enforced here to combat the goblins to the south.  Through the gates
you can see the green forest called the Silverwood.  A small staircase leads 
up one side of the gate to the battlements above.  To the north, the High 
Road leads into the city.

Outside the South Gate 
  You stand in the small patch of land outside the gates of Galadon that is
still protected by the city guard.  To venture further afield means to lose
the protection of the city, perhaps not a good idea in the forests of the
Silverwood.  The goblin-infested forest lies beyond a crossroads to the south.
You can enter the city to the north.

  You come to a small crossroads of sorts, trails leading off in many
directions.  The road is not well traveled, as travelers only venture into
the forests out of necessity.  The road south leads to the tree-line and deep
into the dark forest.  The trail east and west leads around the edge of the
city, skirting along its border.  The road north leads into the southern gate
of Galadon, set in the massive battlement wall.
