  The light sound of music in nearly every direction can be heard along 
the main road through this settlement. The crisp air, fresh with the 
scents of meats being cooked or breads being baked, is a welcome sign 
to the starving senses. All around you this small settlement is busy 
with the activities of its daily routine, yet it seems there is little 
of average routine going on. Poets and minstrels wander by while 
jugglers and entertainers of nearly every profession train with their 
audiences. To the north you notice a large temple, a set of polished 
stone stairs leading up to it, while to the south, a dirt path branches 
away from the road. The road continues through the settlement to both 
the east and west.

On a Dim Road Through the Shops 
  Few activities continue as you make your way down the dim road of 
the settlement. Occasionally, a drunken minstrel or citizen of this 
settlement will wander by, likely making their way to their respective 
homes after an evening of too much ale. Hanging loosely on tall iron 
poles, a set of hooded lanterns provide enough light to slightly 
illuminate the road. To the north and south, shadows dance along the 
fronts of two shops, the signs hanging outside their doors not nearly 
as visible in the poor lighting. The road continues to the east, while 
to the west the road meanders through a row of shops closed for the 
evening.
