Eldritch Lane 
  The straight and narrow road is paved with loose and broken granite 
cobblestones, and patches of grass and weeds poke up from the cracks between 
them. On either side of the road stand narrow and cramped buildings in 
various stages of disarray. While each building differs slightly from the 
next, they are all covered in a thick veneer of grime and dust. Unlit cast 
iron lamp posts line the thin street, and a simple iron arrow has been 
attached to one of the lamp posts creating a guidepost. To the west a sign 
in the shape of a wineglass hangs over the doorway of a tall shop, and 
eastward a simple wooden sign hangs over the door of a two-story pub. The 
quiet paved street continues to the north and south.

  No expense was spared by the nobles and aristocrats of the city in building
this fine temple to learning.  Books, scrolls, and even stone tablets are
stored in the shelves within this first hall of the library, with paintings
and painted skins adorning the walls.  Twin tables of polished wood sit at
the heart of the room, with an assistant librarian keeping watch on all who
approach the texts contained within.  To the north a carved and arched door-
