hard-packed earth is a wide band of crushed white gravel that allows citizens
to avoid the mud that can occur during rain. There is a transition spot to
the east where the white stone changes into the gray crushed rock of the Holy
Road.

Cutting between the Holy and Trade Roads on the eastern edge of Galadon, this
wide alley is kept in a state of perpetual shadow from the nearby buildings.
Heavy with the stench of rot and carrion, the entrance of the Necromancer
guildhall is to the east with its entrance a bit below the street level.
The cobblestone surface of the road is heavily worn, as if the pavers used to
build it had been recycled from another section of the city. It is possible
to step back onto the Holy Road to the north or continue through the alley in
the south, towards the Trade Road.

have a quite stern and serious demeanor about him. He squints when
he attempts to look at something closely, as if he greatly needs
glasses. His hair is kept very neatly, tied with an embroidered
kerchief in a short tail that hangs down to his shoulders. He
does not appear to be very muscular, though he stands with practiced
discipline and discomfort does not appear to be a word in his vocabulary.
His hands are small but his fingers appear lithe and graceful, his
skin appears smooth and without mars. The nails on his fingers appear
to be meticulously manicured and further gives him the overall
impression of being well groomed. It is not often that he can be
found not holding a book of some kind, or having one strapped to
his waist with a leather strap. On a small necklace tied to his
neck there is a small copper tube that appears to be a very tiny
telescope.
