l Seskavil
Chartreuse glimmering scales envelop the towering saurian before you, their
chipped brilliance obscured beneath armament and dirt like lost unknown
treasure. Reaching taller than any human, this strange newcomer to Thera
travels in plain sight proudly with a regal demeanor. Garish yellow
elliptical eyes separate his heritage from the foul practitioners of his kind
but even so the bold hue stands out amongst his clutch. His face is a
shortened snout with two tiny nostrils that flare upward into curved points.
When he cracks open his extended jaw, you can see a row of terrifyingly
grooved ivory teeth joined by a pristine pair of larger fangs that have
clearly been cared for. Notched small sail-fins run from the back of his head
all the way down his spine, boney colorless protrusions shaven to prevent
further growth that only grow to finger-length along his tail. Consistently
tensed for a predator leap, this agile monstrosity seems to enjoy holding
that mere moment until driven into combat. Looking at his simple mash of
marauder and barbaric attire, you study and notice:

The Circle of Rites 
  This field has obviously seen much use; trails lead all over and the grass
has been trampled by the passage of many feet. To the far side a patch of
ground has been picked bare of stones and plants, forming a perfectly
clean and level area of dirt. Logs and stumps ring this earthen arena,
perfectly placed for spectators. This is the circle of rites -- a place
where one villager may challenge another to prove who is the better
warrior. It is a place where competitions are held and leadership is
decided, where one may display prowess to all the village. It is a place
of skill and finesse, but also of rage and fury, for often these fights
cause tempers to flare and blood to boil. It is a place where the winner
is carried away on shoulders, and the loser dragged away in the dirt. Most
of all, though, it is a place of battle.
