The Altar of the Blood Tribunal
  The stairway ends at the peak of the Spire, perhaps thirty feet below the
huge stained glass window at the top.  The moonlight filtering through the
glass bathes the room in a scattering of light and shadow.  Against the flat
northern wall stands the Altar of the Blood Tribunal, reflecting the light
back at you.  On the wall to either side of the altar are elaborate carvings
in the stone, lined with silver and gold.  Ornate archways lie to the east
and west, leading into small alcoves in the corners of the Spire, while the
twisting stairway leads downward, toward the base of the Spire.
