Ok,
1) Atleast try opening with trip instead of lash. It's much more reliable. Or why not dirt kick. Would keep the hamstring away.
2) Entwine nerfs his dodge, which means not so many concealed attacks. It also means you can thirst (if you're high enough level) without him fleeing. Entwine was the move. After that you could've gone for eyejab/strip. And maybe if all your skills landed, you would've had a chance. But still, after about 3 rounds it was obvious that he could heal faster than you could damage him. So why not flee to live another day.
