Having played both a w-elf dagger spec and a dwarf axe...best bet is to lay the damage on as quick as possible. If that means getting the chargeset and immediately pincering, then pincering about two more times for the disembowel, then by all means, keep trying that tactic until it works. Or charge, flee, pincer, flee, pincer flee. Damage. Fast.
